Step Into the Garden
There is a specific kind of quiet that can only be found when we leave the noise of the world behind and step into the presence of the Beloved. It’s the quiet of the "clefts of the rock" and the fragrance of a garden enclosed.
For the past several months, my heart has been dwelling deeply in the Song of Solomon. I’ve found myself captivated by the way this beautiful, ancient poem mirrors our own walk with Christ—the seeking, the finding, and the ultimate rest of being fully known and fully loved.
From Study to Sound
Following our recent journey with The Quiet Table, I felt a stirring to create something that could serve as a companion for your own "Selah moments." I wanted to provide a space where worship meets the Word in a tangible way.
The Secret Place is a nearly four-hour cinematic journey. It is a collection of 52 tracks, meticulously sequenced to follow the chronological path of the Song of Songs.
In this project, I’ve traded the "reverse-engineering" of songs for a more organic, ambient approach. You’ll hear warm, analog synth pads that feel like the shade of an apple tree, and shimmering choral textures that evoke the morning mist on the mountains of spices. It is "physical theology" in musical form.
An Invitation to Dwell
This album wasn't created to be listened to in a hurry. It was created for the Verse Mapper, the student of the Word, and the soul that simply needs to lean upon its Beloved.
I invite you to pull up a chair at the table, open your Bible, and let these sounds create a sanctuary for your study. Whether you are mapping the Hebrew roots of the "Banner of Love" or simply resting in the truth that the winter has passed, my prayer is that you find Him here.
The Journey Together
As you listen through these 52 tracks, you’ll move through the call of the Beloved, the vigil of the night watch, and finally, the unquenchable flame of His covenant love. You can find the full list of chapter markers and timestamps embedded within the video to help guide your study.
Step closer to the hearth, friend. The Garden is open, and the Beloved is waiting.
