MY STORY
Rebecca Lane (formerly Rebecca Withey) is a Podcast Producer, Writer, Designer, and Multimedia Specialist located in Northern Indiana. Growing up in California, Rebecca's parents’ backgrounds in education and advertising sparked her interest in business, media, marketing, and the arts. She began performing at a young age, exploring various forms of expression, including worship, musical theater, and performance groups. Her passion for the arts led her to performing in musical theater, writing poetry, worship songs, and storytelling throughout her teenage years.
After starting a family at 22, Rebecca shifted her focus to supporting her loved ones and pursued a career in the business world. Despite this change, she continued to use her talents for self-expression and self-therapy, even creating her own relaxation podcast, "Sunday Morning Meditations,” and self-publishing a book of poetry, “The Genesis Journey – A Creative Collection.”
In 2010, Rebecca began her journey into film production, assisting in the production of two short films and even producing her own short film, "A Bit of Forever: A Short Film of Hope," which was an official selection at the 2013 Life Film Festival in Hollywood, CA. She has since written, directed, edited, and produced several other short films recognized at film festivals across the country.
Rebecca's passion for multimedia led her to pursue an education in applied art and design and multimedia/graphic design, earning two AA degrees from Sierra College in Rocklin, California. Rebecca's love for storytelling has also led her to work on narration projects and graphic animations, including her own short story, "The Mighty Oak," which won Honorable Mention for Best Children's Short at the Indie Short Film Festival in 2020.
Rebecca works at the University of Notre Dame. As a side project, she started Lyric and Letter LLC (formerly known as Dual Lane Productions) in 2023 with her husband Charles. Lyric and Letter LLC is a faith-based YouTube Channel including the Lyric & Letter podcast and bible reviews through The Bible Unbound. That same year, Rebecca published her first devotional “In Christ Alone: 31 Days to Discover Your Identity in Christ” as well as her Thematic Verse Mapping Workbook “Be Thou My Vision: A Transformative Journey in Scripture Through Thematic Verse Mapping.” She enjoys life with her four cats, singing for the Worship Team at Granger Community Church, and leading a LifeGroup of fellow women hungry for the word of God.
Below are some of the projects I have had the privilege of working with over the years, including projects I have done since 2010. This does not include any work that I have done while at the University of Notre Dame. I appreciate your interest in some of my work.

2020 INDIE SHORT FILM FESTIVAL
The Mighty Oak is a story of love, loss and hope. The short film is a modern, animated parable that opens with a Mighty Oak, standing alone in a field of beautiful flowers. He has been alone for some time when a farmer comes and plants a Cherry Tree next to him. The Mighty Oak and the Cherry Tree fall in love and become entwined with one another. This love helps the Cherry Tree grow and mature and, in the end, withstand the storms that rages against her in life.

2013 SACRAMENTO FILM & MUSIC FESTIVAL
For my second venture into film festival work, I enjoyed participating in the "Sac Music Scene" segment, where local filmmakers are paired up with local musicians. I worked on creating a visually stunning piece that captured the essence of the musician's music and message. It was an incredible experience to collaborate with such talented artists and showcase our work on the big screen.
