I’m so excited to begin a new season of exploring worship and God’s Word with you. Whether you’ve been on this journey from the beginning or you’re joining for the first time, I pray that this season will be a time of deeper faith, renewed hope, and powerful encounters with God.
We’re kicking off this season with a theme that has been stirring in my heart: holy defiance. At first, the phrase may sound contradictory. Isn’t defiance something negative—something rebellious or prideful? But when we talk about holy defiance, we’re talking about a faith that refuses to back down, a faith that chooses to trust God even when life feels uncertain, overwhelming, or broken. It’s about standing immovable in the victory Christ has already won, even when circumstances try to shake us.
This theme is at the heart of this week’s episode of Lyric and Letter: Where Worship Meets the Word, where we explore “Resurrection Hope” by Aaron Williams—a song that reminds us that Christ’s victory over death is not just a past event, but a present reality in our lives. Through scripture, personal reflection, and worship, we’ll dive into 1 Corinthians 15:57-58, where Paul calls us to be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in Him, nothing is in vain.
