A Father’s Heart

Dear Friends,

Happy Father’s Day to all the incredible fathers, father figures, and parents out there! Today is a special day to honor and celebrate the love, guidance, and strength you bring to your families.

As we reflect on this day, it’s also a wonderful opportunity to consider the divine fatherhood of God and the transformative power of His love. In our latest episode of the Lyric and Letter podcast, we dive into the song "Lead Me On" by Chandler Moore, exploring its themes of guidance and transformation.

Father's Day is a time to appreciate the fathers who have guided us, provided for us, and loved us unconditionally. It’s also a moment to reflect on God as our ultimate Father, whose love surpasses all understanding. John 3:16-17 reminds us of this immense love: "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."

"Lead Me On" underscores the powerful transformation that comes through Christ. The song reminds us that no matter how many twists and turns we face, God’s grace remains steadfast. As parents and grandparents, we often carry the weight of past mistakes, feeling their burden. However, God’s grace assures us that we can always start anew.

Living a life transformed by Christ involves daily renewal. Each day, we are called to put off our old selves and embrace the new life God offers. This process of renewal is vital for spiritual growth and alignment with God's will.

Trusting in God’s guidance is essential. Proverbs 3:5-6 encourages us to trust in the Lord wholeheartedly. By seeking His guidance, we find clarity and direction even in the most challenging times.

To fully embrace Christ's leadership, we need to stay connected to Him through prayer, reading His Word, and sharing our struggles with fellow believers. Galatians 2:20 highlights the essence of living by faith, allowing Christ’s love and grace to flow through us.

If you find yourself dealing with guilt from past mistakes, remember that God’s grace is sufficient. He can take every aspect of our lives and use it for His greater purpose. Isaiah 64:8 reminds us that we are like clay in the hands of the Master Potter, continuously shaped and refined by our Heavenly Father.

As we continue our journey of transformation and faith, I invite you to join our community. Engage with us through our Facebook group, where we delve deeper into thematic verse mapping on our Identity in Christ every Thursday at 8pm EST. We also have a Saturday morning inductive Bible study following our Community Study Plan, focusing on Genesis 1-11 through the remainder of June.
